St. Louis program lends toys to children with special needs

A St. Louis nonprofit has launched a program that allows parents of children with special needs to borrow educational toys and other items for free. The Capable Kids and Families program, sponsored by the St. Louis Arc, has enrolled 50 families since December and now has a waiting list. Families are able to borrow such items as a specialized chair that trains babies to sit and toys for children with hearing and vision impairments before returning the toys for others to use.
