Christie moves to reverse Atlantic City downturn

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is dealing with Atlantic City's crisis head-on by taking over the gaming district to improve gaming revenues and increase employment. The plan includes jump-starting the stalled construction of the $2.5 billion Revel casino. With gambling income down 30%, Christie has mandated tax breaks to forestall further slides in the 8% tax on casino revenue and to keep gaming venues profitable.
