MGMA urges feds to reconcile eRx and MU incentive programs

The Medical Group Management Association is urging the federal government to harmonize the incentive programs for e-prescribing and electronic health record meaningful use to avoid imposing unjust penalties on eligible providers. The "lapse in coordination" is problematic for providers and also undermines CMS' work to improve efficiency and promote health IT, the group said in a letter to HHS.
