PCAOB's Roper calls for investigations into audit firms

Audit firms failed to identify the risks at financial institutions that led to the financial crisis, and the U.S. needs to do more to find out why this happened, said Barbara Roper, head of a working group for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. "There's a need to figure out why they failed to perform that function and what can be done to fix that problem," Roper said.
