Analysis: White would face challenges at SEC

Mary Jo White, President Barack Obama's nominee to lead the Securities and Exchange Commission, will face challenges in implementing the Dodd-Frank Act in a timely manner, according to The Economist. "Many of the rule-writing jobs dumped in the lap of agencies are on issues that were too complex for Congress to resolve, from the operations of credit-rating agencies to the definition of proprietary trading," the magazine notes. "Ms White's SEC career will only get tougher from here."
