NRF: Consumers will spend, not splurge, on Easter

Americans plan to spend $145.13 per person on Easter candy, food, flowers, outfits and other items this year, down 15 cents from last year, according to a survey from BIGinsight for NRF. Some 86.9% will spend at least part of the budget on brunch or dinner, and 91% plan to buy at least some candy; 21.1% of respondents said they'll do some of their shopping online, up from 18.7% in 2012.
