Saint-Gobain wins award for energy-efficiency efforts

Building products manufacturer Saint-Gobain has won the Energy Star Award from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. The company is said to have offset 477,943 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions in its facilities across the world. CertainTeed, the company's subsidiary, has also implemented energy-efficient efforts at its site in McPherson, Kan., and is a major contributor to reduction in emissions.
