Wounded vets receive high-tech homes

The Gary Sinise Foundation and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation have created a program that aims to build dozens of homes for military veterans who have had most or all of their limbs amputated, or who have become paralyzed. Each home is tailored to the service member who lives there and is equipped with amenities that can be controlled with mobile devices. The homes cost about $500,000 each.
