PLCs help Mo. school create common learning goals

Working collaboratively in professional learning communities has helped educators at a Missouri elementary school find and develop plans to close student learning gaps on campus, school principal Randy Crites recently told the Bismarck R-5 Board of Education. In the process, teachers learned what teachers in upper grades needed students to know and they developed common objectives for each grade. "It caused us to create a community of educators -- much like a ball team," Crites said about working in PLCs.
