Researchers discover why dark chocolate is good for you

Researchers have discovered that the reason dark chocolate boosts human health is because its molecules can be broken down by bacteria in the GI tract and transformed into usable, healthy compounds. "These materials are anti-inflammatory and they serve to prevent or delay the onset of some forms of cardiovascular disease that are associated with inflammation," said researcher John Finley.
