Coke, Blockbuster Expand Marketing Agreement

Coca-Cola and Blockbuster have expanded a marketing agreement that is expected to boost plummeting sales and demand of carbonated beverages. Under the agreement, Coca-Cola is to purchase space in Blockbuster's in-store television network and direct mail campaigns. The companies began joint ventures in 1995 when Blockbuster began selling Coca-Cola products in its stores.
