Size of Airbus jet helped it win tanker competition, report says

The size of the Airbus A330 gave it an edge over the competing aircraft made by Boeing during the competition for aerial refueling tankers, according to media reports. Boeing is formally protesting the contract award to a team led by EADS and Northrop Grumman. A Northrop spokeswoman said the company "won the tanker competition fair and square."
