Study warns of hormone therapy overuse in prostate cancer

Health care professionals have been giving hormone therapy in less-severe cases of prostate cancer because of studies that showed its ability to improve survival of patients with advanced cancers, according to research published in The New England Journal of Medicine. The study's lead author warned providers and patients to "think twice" about hormone therapy, since most cancers today "are not really that aggressive."
