Local stations fare well with telecom ads, see drop in restaurant chains

TV stations in Q4 benefited from an increase in telecom ad spending, which rose 7.9% for local and national spot advertising, TNS Media Intelligence is reporting. But local stations didn't do as well with restaurant chains, which boosted their ad spend by 8.1% in Q4, but cut their local budgets by 9.4%, according to TNS.
