Math software may help teachers tailor instruction

Pre-algebra and algebra students may learn more from teachers who incorporate technology into the classroom, according to a study, perhaps because teachers are better able to tailor lessons to student needs. Students using such programs were especially likely to outscore peers when they were enrolled in large classes or missed a lot of school.
