Motorcycle helmet bill before Maryland Senate

Maryland lawmakers continue to debate a proposal that would limit mandatory helmet rules for some motorcycle drivers. Under the measure, helmets no longer would be required for drivers 21 and older who have been driving for two years or passed a motorcycle safety course. Public safety and medical groups oppose the measure, which has been regularly introduced and voted down since 1996.
