To make yourself happier at work, take care of difficult e-mails as soon as possible and don't say "yes" on the phone but instead say "I'll get back to you," Gretchen Rubin writes. "When you're actually speaking to someone, the desire to be accommodating is very strong, and can lead you to say 'yes' without enough consideration," she writes.
