Low-fat diets don't lower cholesterol, study finds

Researchers say a low-fat diet has virtually no effect on cholesterol levels, though it can aid weight loss. Study author Barbara V. Howard said a low-fat diet doesn't "do any of the adverse things that high-fat people have claimed," such as raise triglycerides or lower HDL cholesterol.
