Mackerel can get a Scandinavian accent when combined with creme freche, or a Japanese accent as sushi or sashimi. It can also be grilled with cumin, lemon and olive oil for a Morocco-accented dish; or rubbed with spices and served with mango, chili and coriander leaves for an Indian interpretation.
