Kegan Going, an 8-year-old California student with autism, is attending classes with his service dog, Everett, whom he received from the nonprofit Autism Service Dogs of America. Everett, who is tethered to the boy, is responsible for keeping Kegan calm and helping him stay safe. The dog will also be able to tell when Kegan's having a seizure and alert an adult. The dog's trainer, who is an autism specialist, helped the boy's school adjust to having a service dog in the classroom.
