MTV to share ad revenue with musicians in online venture

MTV is starting a personal website-based platform for musical artists that will allow them to sell their songs and attract advertising, similar to Myspace pages. Called Artists.MTV, the venture will include CMT and VH1 and include ad revenue sharing. An artist will be featured on air each month.
