How landscapers can learn to understand clients' preferences

To establish long-lasting relationships with clients, landscape contractors need to make their first meeting a great one, writes Chris Weigl. Study their yard, and determine what they like and don't like about it. Ask them to fill out a questionnaire and eventually show them samples of what you're thinking of putting in to see if they like it. Make sure you also explain how things will grow and what they need to stay healthy, Weigl advises.
