Race car project provides hands-on learning

A group of students at Chavez High School in Houston, Texas, are learning about aerodynamics and mechanical engineering by working on a race car that will be entered in an event called The Texas Mile. Science and engineering teacher Greg Ditch used to compete in races and saw the project as a "hands-on" way for students to learn about engineering and mechanics.
