Man is sentenced for role in Chicago minority-contracting scandal

The owner of a Chicago trucking company has received a 17-month prison sentence for his involvement in a scheme in which his firm served as a minority front for another company that in turn won millions of dollars' worth of city sewer contracts. The trucking company's owner also was ordered to pay the city $533,749 in restitution.
