Nursing facilities company faces kickback allegations

A newly unsealed lawsuit accuses the Tutera Group and its president, Joe Tutera, of participating in illegal kickbacks and taking bribes. The Tutera Group, which owns nursing and skilled nursing facilities, is suspected of receiving illegal kickbacks in exchange for buying medical equipment and supplies from Illinois company Medline, and Joe Tutera is accused of funneling bribes through a shell company. Joe Tutera's representatives say the allegations are false.
