Eighth-graders at Grizzell Middle School in Dublin, Ohio, have raised more than $13,500 -- enough money to send about 30 World War II veterans on a trip to see the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. The students got the idea to help after their own visit to the memorial, where they introduced themselves to veterans and thanked them for their service. The students held fundraisers to earn the money, which will be given to Honor Flight Columbus, a branch of a national organization that funds trips for veterans to visit the memorial.
