House Republicans seek change in special education law

Republicans yesterday proposed a change to the Disabilities Education Act and are expected to introduce a bill that would give special education students vouchers to attend private schools. President Bush's proposed budget for next year would fund 19% of the current Disabilities Education Act, well short of the goal of 40% proposed when the law was first enacted.
