TFA wants districts to supplement costs

Teach For America, a nonprofit that places college graduates in low-income schools, is asking school districts to pay $1,000 for each teacher they accept from the program. A regional director in the Phoenix area says TFA spends about $6,000 to recruit, train and support each new teacher.
