Company discloses health procedure costs -- for a fee

Denver company Health Grades is launching a program providing information on the cost of 42 medical procedures ranging from cataract to gastric bypass surgery. The information will cost patients $7.95 and gives out-of-pocket expenses based on factors such as the patient's gender and age, however some insurance companies already have started offering such information for free.
