Editorial: Florida's virtual voucher offers too much

Florida's not getting enough for the $5,200 per student voucher it offers for-profit online schools that don't serve lunch or offer busing, the St. Petersburg Times editorial board says. Though virtual high schools may be effective, vouchers for younger students serve primarily as a curriculum aid for home-schooled children, where the responsibility for success falls on the shoulders of the parents, the paper says.
