Delta pilots reject arbitration over seniority list

Pilots for Delta Air Lines rejected the idea of submitting the integration of seniority lists to arbitration. The Northwest Airlines pilots union had suggested that arbitration could help the two sides overcome an impasse over seniority, which could move the two airlines closer to a possible merger. A letter earlier this week from the head of the Delta union suggested that the two pilot groups were no longer negotiating.
