Storm brings widespread flooding, 13 deaths

Severe storms punished much of the U.S. midweek, causing at least 13 deaths and leaving many areas submerged in floodwaters. Missouri saw up to a foot of rain, and parts of southern Ohio were under four feet of water. As the storm pushed east on Thursday, meteorologists predicted some rivers could surge several feet while northern New England could see 12 inches of snow.
