Biden acknowledges possible errors with first stimulus contracts

Several of the first contracts awarded under the economic-stimulus plan included paperwork mistakes and may have been awarded without competitive bidding. Vice President Joe Biden's office acknowledged possible problems but reassured citizens that stimulus watchdog Earl Devaney will review some of the contracts. Biden's press secretary, Elizabeth Alexander, said problems appear to be isolated and that funds from the stimulus plan are "moving into the economy with speed and success."
