Coca-Cola offer for Chinese firm turned down

Coca-Cola's bid to buy a Chinese juice maker has collided with strict Ministry of Commerce legislation. In the first real test of its anti-monopoly law, China turned down Coca-Cola's $2.4 billion offer for China Huiyuan Juice Group over concerns that the American giant would use its financial might to leverage further deals. Observers said the refusal violates the tenets of international best business practices.
