CFTC approves swaps-clearing rule

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission voted 4-1 to adopt a rule that will require swaps brokers to quickly decide whether to accept or reject trades for clearing. "This lowers risk to the markets by minimizing the time between submission and acceptance or rejection of trades for clearing," Chairman Gary Gensler said.
