Lowell Steward, 93, flew 143 combat missions as a Tuskegee Airman during World War II. "There was danger," he said. "But I wasn't scared." Steward also was a founding member of the Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships to students pursuing careers in aviation, aerospace or technology.
