Pessimism pervades low-wage workforce, survey finds

Many workers earning $35,000 a year or less see themselves as worse off than they were during the recession, and half of them have little or no confidence in reaching long-term career goals, according to an Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey. More than 40% of employers say it's difficult to recruit low-wage workers, the survey found.
