Polls give Maduro lead in Venezuelan presidential vote

The candidate of Venezuela's governing party, Nicolas Maduro, has a double-digit lead over opposition candidate Henrique Capriles, according to two polls. A Datanalisis survey found that 48.8% of those interviewed said they will vote for Maduro, while 33.8% backed Capriles. Polling firm Hinterlaces put Maduro ahead at 53%, compared with Capriles at 35%.
