The Disabled Veterans Business Alliance in Oakland, Calif., brings together veteran business owners to help them network, share experiences and gain access to state departments looking to work with veterans. The state's Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise program encourages state agencies to award 3% of contracts to businesses owned by military veterans.
