Survey: Lengthy procedures at U.S. Customs deter inbound travelers

A survey by the U.S. Travel Association and Consensus Research Group found that negative experiences with U.S. Customs are driving away foreign travelers. The survey found 43% of travelers would tell friends and relatives to avoid travel to the U.S. because of long and inefficient procedures. The survey was conducted in 2012 before sequestration went into effect.
