Calif. to review educator training for students with disabilities

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing will use a $200,000 federal grant to examine how teachers and administrators are prepared for teaching students with disabilities. In collaboration with several universities, reviewers will look at training and college programs and identify measurements for successful programs. The grant is part of a $25 million initiative of the U.S. Office for Special Education to improve special education in 20 states.
