Hermès: Weakening yen will bite into bottom line this year

Luxury brand Hermès expects its profit margins to decline this year after hitting a record high in 2013, largely because of currency fluctuations including a weakening Japanese yen, said CEO Axel Dumas. Slowing demand in China and political unrest in Russia could also lead to an overall slowdown in luxury retail sales this year, he said.
