WHO: Drug-resistant TB poses worldwide risk

Drug-resistant tuberculosis could affect 2 million people by 2015, says the World Health Organization as new data on TB is released. "Earlier and faster diagnosis of all forms of TB is vital," argues WHO Director-General Margaret Chan. "It improves the chances of people getting the right treatment and being cured, and it helps stop spread of drug-resistant disease."
