Upfront looms on the horizon

Despite complaints about pricing models and other aspects of the upfront ad-buying frenzy, advertisers and agencies will be back at it when the 2005 upfront kicks off in May. This year's upfront is likely to highlight two trends, one of those being the shift of ad dollars from broadcast to cable. The other is the increasing importance of multimedia ad campaigns that involve the TV and Internet, as well as gaming, product integration and other components.
