Educators take hard line on pushy parents

Some parents are so hyperinvolved and overly protective of their children that they flood teachers with e-mails and phone calls, turn confrontational during conferences and sometimes must be banned from schools. Some colleges are now holding workshops to teach parents to back off and let their children be independent.
