Sharp increase reported for ADHD drug use among adults

The use of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder drugs by adults ages 20 to 44 rose nearly 19% in 2005, but declined 5% among children under 10, according to a new report on the controversial medicines. The report was released ahead of today's meeting of an FDA advisory panel that plans to look at possible links between ADHD therapies and heart and other health problems.
