Virgin Health Bank introduces dual-purpose cord-blood banking

As demand for stem cells from umbilical cord blood outpaces supply, some are wondering whether dual public-private banking for cord blood could be a solution. Enter U.K.-based Virgin Health Bank, where 20% of a cord blood sample will be reserved for private use while 80% will be for use by the general public.
