Fox News brings a strong story into upfront season

Fox News is positioning itself as a direct competitor to mainstream cable networks for ad dollars, rather than to other cable news networks, according to this report. The news channel commands 26% of gross rating points for viewers in the 25-to-54 demographic with household incomes of $100,000 or more, more than double that of History, Discovery and CNN, which have 12%, 11% and 9%, respectively.
