Grant offers Kentucky teachers support in math, science

Jefferson County Public Schools in Kentucky will hire resource teachers at up to 25 schools to help teach math and science, thanks to a $10.5 million grant from the General Electric Foundation. The teachers will work four days a week, instructing teachers as well as teaching in the classroom. Current teachers will also receive training and professional development support under the grant.
