House approves biggest change in U.S. health care in 40 years

The House of Representatives approved President Barack Obama's proposed overhaul of the U.S. health care system in a 219-212 vote. The measure would extend health insurance to more than 32 million people, though many of the bill's provisions would not go into effect until 2014. The bill was passed with only Democratic votes.
